If I saw the title of this post last year, my first thought would be, "This girl needs a math lesson. Pregnancy is only 9 months!"
Well my friends...this is a myth! It's actually a 10-month journey.
And maybe I'm the only woman who was in the dark on this fact (it wouldn't be the first time I was last to the knowledge table) but I found this utterly shocking when my doctor explained it to me. I fought the urge to write Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore and tell them that they were misled and their movie really needs to be re-titled.
Now don't get me wrong! I wouldn't trade it for anything and I feel so blessed in every way. But the truth needs to be acknowledged. :)

Still glowing! Only a few more weeks! And yes, I also didn't know it was 10 months till my friends started telling me differently either.

You look great even at 91/2 months. The link up sounds awesome
You are almost there! Looking fabulous!

It is 10 months!!! It's so silly how they count it anyway!!!!
I love, love this outfit! In fact it might be my favorite yet and it actually looks comfy:) plus gorgeous of course!!!!
I was totally confused with the whole 40weeks/10 month thing too! Wait till you have the baby... somehow the months are counted in 4 week increments but that only makes your month 28 days long. Then somehow magically you move from counting in 4 week lots and start counting in proper months. Six months in I'm still confused!
You must be getting soooo excited/scared/nervous now. Not long to go and your little one will be in your arms :)
I was WAY confused/in the dark about the 9 month/10 month thing too...seriously, why does NO ONE tell you that sooner ;) You are looking fantastic doll! Hang in there - so so very close!!!

You look fab! I went all the way to 42 weeks pregnant with my son and it was not fun, I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant with my second child and I'm really hoping that I don't make it to 42 weeks with this one!
I've just started a new feature on my blog called Mummy Mondays, come and take a look if you like! :)

You look amazing and this outfit looks great! So comfy! I also made it to 42 weeks with my first and then he was too big to make it through the canal of life. Second one I had at 39 weeks. Don't let anyone scare you because they NORMALLY don't let you go over your due date that much, I think they were trying to make up for it by letting me have my second early.
@ everyone - I can't tell you how relieved I am to read that I was not alone in this! I felt like such an idiot...but you really never pay much attention to the actual weeks in pregnancy until...well...you're pregnant! LOL!
Thanks so much for the sweet + awesome comments as always!

I just learned that pregnancy is 10 months from a PSA I saw on TV. It was a PSA urging women to carry their pregnancy to full term when possible...between 39 and 41 weeks. And then I did the math and was astounded to learn I had been misled my entire life...haha.

you look great! :D
You look beautiful, Marion! I hope I look this chic & put together at 9 1/2 months pregnant. ;) Go girl!
My doc insists it IS 9 months. 9 full months. It only goes to 10 months if you're overdue. I get her logic, but still not sure I buy it. :)
I love you pregnant Mare! You look so happy and beautiful!! Call me! Love you!
We're ALMOST there Marion! Hang in there during these final days. I hope you had a great weekend! xo
YOu look amazing and yes the whole 9 months is a big myth. Really it goes by weeks not by months. I ended up going very overdue. When my son was finally born i was well into the 10th month. Check out my new post 30 in 30.

I delivered a large, bouncing baby boy at 2 weeks overdue, so believe me, I know what you are feeling. You look wonderful. Wishing every blessing on you and yours....
Marion, you look simply divine! You ALMOST make me want to be pregnant in the Fall/Winter, something I've never experienced. Homestretch now! Best wishes. You're going to make quite a Glamamom!
I learned last year that it's really 10 months. Why have people been spreading the 9 month myth around for so long?! Good news...you look amazing!
