Moments of the Week
"They Invited Me Again!" Moment
Well, I was certain that this year would be different. But it turns out that the government seems to have bookmarked my spring break as the week to invite me. Big fat poo-sandwich!
"I'll take that as a compliment" Moment
I took Cooper to my school to introduce him to a few of the office staff whom I adore. As they are loving on him, a 3rd grader whom I work with walks in and sees me. He rushes over to give me a hug (major melt moment) and then he looks up at me and the following exchange takes place:
Cute lil boy: "Ms. G...you look different."
Me: "Well you're right! I'm no longer pregnant!"
Cute lil boy: "Huh?! No...that's not it. And I don't even know what pragmat means."
He looks at me for a minute then he smiles.
Cute lil boy: "You are wearing a new shirt!"
Me: "Um, yes. This shirt is fairly new. And pregnant means that I had a baby inside me. I gave birth to him a few weeks ago. That is him over there!"
Cute lil boy: looking at the baby and then looks back at me and crinkles his nose "Gross..."
He looks genuinely disgusted, looks at me one last time and then simply walks out the door.
Gosh I miss my kids! :)
