This is what I wore for my first day at my new job in my new district with new people. I decided to go with a grounded color scheme of blues... a safe + professional hue that doesn't scream "look at me!"
So perhaps this style isn't very "blog worthy"...but I didn't want my 1st impression at my new job to be look at my clothes and then listen to what I'm saying. I may have looked a tad boring, but I am sure everyone was so busy listening + pondering all the fascinating material pouring out of my mouth that they didn't even notice.
That was a joke.
Moments of the Week
See that dirt?
I came to the conclusion after a few days of house hunting around Las Vegas that I like the idea of building a house. I found a neighborhood that I loved in Summerlin + picked out the home design and colors + and then showed Cooper and he gave his approval.
Oh...and then I had to call my husband who is still back in Denver:
Me: "Hi honey! So how do you feel about building a house?"
Husband: "Whatever you want babe. Did you find something you like?"
Husband: "Hmm...is the backyard big enough for us to install a putting green?"
Husband: "Well than I think you found our new home!
So funny...I'm sure if it were up to him we would make the entire lot a giant putting green and we would just pitch a tent on the side. Gotta love him!
"Well that was a mistake!" Moment
When being introduced in front of the entire staff at one of my schools, the following exchange happened:
A teacher: "What's your name? Mary Ann?"
Me: "No...it's Marion. Like Marion the Librarian. Or Marionberries..."
Me: "Or like Marion Berry...the cracked out mayor of DC." A few people chuckled...these few will likely become friends in the future :)
Me: "Just say 'hey you!' when you see me and I'll respond. Haha."
So guess what everyone at this school has been calling me since then?
It was funny the first few times...sigh....:)
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! As always, thank you so much for reading.

PS - Since we are building a house, I'll likely be sharing a few home design/decor posts. I'm already creating boards on my Pinterest if you want to follow along. This is going to be fun!
